Liability Claims Officer  

Location: Ballard House, West Hoe Road, West Hoe, Plymouth, PL1 3BJ

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 15.56 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities

Investigate and process public liability claims.

Decide on liability and monitor claims from start to finish.

Work with Council service departments to gather evidence.

Collaborate with solicitors on litigated claims.

Communicate complex information to various audiences.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Experience in insurance or claims handling.

Knowledge of legal liability principles.

Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules and GDPR.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Nice to Have

Experience working with solicitors.

Experience in public sector claims.
