Know How Resourcing is currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of a well-established client based in the Wetherby area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a long-term supervisory role with career progression and development potential.

Location: Wetherby, LS23
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time

* Supervise and support a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance and on-the-job training

* Manage goods in and goods out processes, including checking deliveries, processing paperwork, and updating inventory systems

* Maintain accurate stock control and carry out regular stock checks and audits

* Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all warehouse equipment

* Monitor and improve team performance and productivity

* Deal with any issues related to damaged or missing goods

* Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety across the warehouse

* Communicate effectively with other departments including transport, customer service, and procurement

* Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and health & safety regulations

* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff development as required

* Prepare shift reports and update management on workflow and performance metrics

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role

* Strong leadership and team management skills

* Excellent organisational and time management abilities

* Good IT skills, including experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* Knowledge of health & safety procedures and manual handling best practices

* A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic

* Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

* Forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach) is desirable but not essential

* Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term work
