We're looking for a dedicated Quarry Operative to support safe, efficient and high‑quality operations across our site. If you're hands‑on, safety‑focused and ready to contribute to an essential industry, we'd love to hear from you.

Purpose of the Role

As a Quarry Operative, you will play a key part in the smooth running of our quarry operations. You will operate both mobile and static plant safely and professionally, carrying out maintenance duties and supporting the main processing plant as directed by Site Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile and static plant safely, efficiently and only within your current certification.

  • Carry out routine maintenance including refuelling, greasing and cleaning in line with manufacturer guidelines and company standards.

  • Ensure all plant is operated in the most economical manner.

  • Complete daily inspections of mobile plant and maintain accurate records.

  • Report any plant defects or issues promptly to the General Foreman.

  • Submit near‑miss reports and support a strong safety culture on site.

  • Undertake additional duties within the scope of the role as reasonably required.

Education & Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 4/C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English.

  • Strong general education to understand and comply with extensive Health & Safety and Quarry Regulations.

  • EPIC certification for mobile plant operation (or willingness to achieve this).

  • NVQ Level 2 in Mobile Plant Operations (required after EPIC certification).
