Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

- Job Type: Full-time, Rotating Shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm)
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing both reactive and planned maintenance on all machinery within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in a manufacturing setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on various types of machinery.
- Keep the MaintainX system updated with all maintenance tasks and schedules.
- Organise and manage contractors and machine services.
- Control and manage spare parts inventory for machines.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and contractor documentation.
- Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide assistance to the Production department as needed.
- Participate in an Out of Hours Call Out rota to handle emergency maintenance issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the maintenance department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of an apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a related field, coupled with relevant experience.
- ONC/BTEC or HNC/BTEC in Electrical Engineering.
- 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using Mitsubishi PLCs & HMIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on fault finding.
- Knowledge of electric motors, pneumatics, and basic mechanical skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Experience in a safety-first culture is crucial.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Fanuc and ABB Robotics Programming.
- Familiarity with Fanuc CNC and Siemens PLCs & HMIs.
