Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We are currently seeking experienced and empathetic SEN Tutors to work with children and young people across Malmesbury.

About the Role

You'll be working with learners who may have:

Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Experienced exclusion from school
Struggled with anxiety, bullying, or medical conditions
Be Looked After Children (LAC)

Location & Schedule

Sessions take place in a variety of settings
Flexible hours available: 2-15 hours per week, typically during school hours
Opportunities to combine multiple sessions across different young peopleYour role will involve:

Delivering personalised tutoring sessions in core subjects (Maths, English, Science)
Building trust and rapport through engaging activities before introducing structured learning
Identifying gaps in knowledge and tailoring lessons to suit individual needs
Supporting emotional well being and confidence through mentoringAbout you:

Minimum 1 year of experience supporting young people in a UK educational setting
Experience of working with learners with additional needs
A calm, nurturing and positive demeanour
Ability to provide relevant references
Passionate, reliable, and creative in your approach
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Experience of working with learners with additional needs- ESSENTIALTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
