Financial Controller

Based: Manchester centre – hybrid working

Salary: up to £75k bonus benefits

I am working with a fantastic SME services business who have recently relocated to brand new offices. With exciting plans for growth over the next few years, this role will sit as number 2 to the Finance Director overseeing all things finance, a small team and heavily involved in process/system improvements

Role:

• Leading & mentoring the team, ensuring staff are developing
• Ensuring monthly reporting is delivered within reporting deadlines, additional reporting requirements for PE house
• Proactively looking to improve efficiency of financial processes & monthly reporting to support future business growth
• Overseeing day to day finance, improving working capital performance
• Ensuring high quality financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting & business partnering internally with all areas of the business
• Data manipulation & managing all PowerQuery processes
• Project based work around business growth & external investment

Experience:

• ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years PQE with industry experience
• Strong data & PowerQuery experience is essential
• Experience working in a growing SME highly desirable
• Strong experience in a Financial Controller role essential
• Hands on, commercial & able to operate at high level as number 2
