Location: South West London (Office-Based with Occasional Site Visits)
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 basic
Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 (37.5-hour week, including 1-hour lunch)

Overview

A growing organisation within the Fire & Security sector is seeking an Operations Administrator to support the coordination and delivery of installation projects and engineering activities.

This role will be on a temporary contract for the first 12 Weeks, moving into a full time role after this period.

This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and experience coordinating engineers, managing schedules, and supporting operational delivery.

You will play a key role in ensuring engineering operations run efficiently, projects are delivered to a high standard, and customer expectations are consistently met.

The Role - Operations Administrator

As an Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating installation engineers, supporting project delivery, and acting as a key link between engineers, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities 

Engineering Coordination

Coordinate and organise installation engineers' schedules and workloads
Monitor performance and provide feedback to engineers
Support engineers with guidance, technical information, and documentation
Conduct site visits where required to assess quality and working practices
Organise and participate in engineer meetings, training sessions, and reviews
Ensure all relevant site plans, drawings, and project documentation are available

Scheduling & Project Support

Prepare for projects by reviewing specifications, drawings, and site requirements
Liaise with customers to gather information and provide updates on project progress
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
Prepare method statements and risk assessments
Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety regulations
Act as a point of contact for key or high-profile sites
Identify opportunities for process improvement and business development

General Duties

Support with invoicing, reporting, and general administrative tasks
Attend internal and external meetings as required
Maintain and develop technical knowledge
Complete ad-hoc tasks as required by operational management

Requirements - Operations Administrator

Strong organisational and scheduling skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft 365
Experience within the Fire & Security or Intruder industry (preferred)
Experience coordinating engineers or supporting project delivery (advantageous)

Experience & Qualifications - Operations Administrator

Experience in project coordination, scheduling, or customer service roles
Previous experience managing or supporting engineering teams (preferred)
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to pass security vetting (BS7858)
