Location: Hybrid / London SW1P 2AP (2 – 3 days per week)
About TaxAid
TaxAid provides a vital lifeline for people who find themselves lost in the UK tax system and unable to afford professional help.
Every year, TaxAid helps 18,000 people facing complex and distressing situations. Many are dealing not only with tax problems but also with debt, poor mental health, homelessness or sudden financial hardship. When they have nowhere else to turn, TaxAid provides free, independent and expert advice that helps them regain control and move forward.
Whilst TaxAid provides expert tax advice, our Chief Executive does not need to come from a tax background.
A pivotal moment for TaxAid
TaxAid is seeking an ambitious and values-driven Chief Executive to lead the organisation into its next phase of development and growth.
This is an exciting time to join the charity. TaxAid has recently undergone significant change, including a merger with a sister organisation, the development of a new beneficiary strategy and a refreshed brand.
These strong foundations create a solid platform for the next Chief Executive to build upon. The Board is ambitious to increase the number of people supported each year and ensure TaxAid reaches more people who currently struggle with tax problems.

As Chief Executive, you will provide inspiring leadership to TaxAid, ensuring the organisation continues to deliver high-quality services while strengthening its long-term sustainability and influence.
Key priorities will include:
