Site Manager - Water & Wastewater Infrastructure (AMP8)

We are working with a key delivery partner for a major UK water utility's AMP7/AMP8 Infrastructure Capital Programme, delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades across South London and the Thames Valley. As part of this multi-million-pound programme, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead delivery on active infrastructure sites.

🚧 Scope of the Programme

Under major infrastructure packages valued at £330m, the programme involves key upgrades including:

Replacement of water distribution mains and trunk mains

Installation of new/refurbished pumping stations

Pressure management activities

Wastewater rising main replacements and gravity sewer solutions

Rail-adjacent sewer works, aqueduct and pipe bridge inspections

Long-term asset health improvement across water and wastewater networks

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all on-site activities for water/wastewater projects

Lead site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery

Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, company procedures, and client specifications

Oversee HSEQ standards and ensure robust reporting and risk management

Maintain effective communication with delivery managers, planners, and engineering leads

Manage permits to work, site diaries, inductions, and toolbox talks

✅ Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on water or wastewater infrastructure projects

Experience working on regulated utility frameworks (e.g., AMP6/7/8, major UK water utilities)

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades

SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and EUSR Water Hygiene (essential)

Desirable: Utility Passport, Confined Space, Temporary Works Coordinator
