AFC Band 7 Renal Testes Clinical Nurse Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated CNS to join our dynamic and friendly prostate cancer specialist nursing team based at Guys Hospital next to the Shard at London Bridge. We are looking for a band 7 nurse but applications from nurses looking for a band 6 development deputy CNS post are also welcome

GSTT is a urological cancer centre receiving referrals from South East London. We provide diagnostics as well as state of the art treatments including robotic prostatectomy, brachytherapy and radiotherapy. We are looking for a dynamic experienced nurse with good communication skills who has an interest in developing their CNS skills or extending their current portfolio of skills and abilities You need to be able to prioritise your workload and assist us in meeting NHS Cancer waiting time and network targets whilst maintaining the patient experience and supporting them and their families through a robust, award winning survivorship program.

The Renal Testes CNS is responsible for the specialist nursing care of patients with renal and testicular cancer.This will include both surgical and oncological treatments to experience in these treatment modalities is desirable.

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting patients to live with and beyond cancer and will lead on holistic needs assessments, health and well being events and supporting all aspects of personal care.All enquiries are very welcome and personal visits to the department prior to application/interview are highly recommended in order to prepare you to do your best at interview.
