Role Overview:
We are recruiting for a small, family-run HV services business seeking a versatile High Voltage Engineer. This is an all-rounder role suited to an engineer comfortable across protection testing, switching operations, maintenance, installations, and commissioning activities. The position is predominantly focused on 11 kV systems, with work generally capped at 33 kV.

Key Responsibilities:

Protection relay testing & fault-finding

*

HV/LV switching operations (SAP/Authorised Person duties where applicable)

*

Planned & reactive maintenance

*

HV equipment installation & commissioning

*

Support across substation works & upgrades

*

Participation in on-call rota

Requirements:

*

Experience across multiple HV disciplines (not single-specialist)

*

Strong protection testing & switching background

*

Experience with 11 kV systems (up to 33 kV desirable)

*

Relevant HV authorisations (SAP/AP preferred)

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Willingness to travel & stay away when required

*

Ideally within ~1-1.5 hours of Aylesbury
