Our client, a leading global commodity merchant, is looking to hire an Investment Analyst/Professional in London to help them identify asset acquisition and investment opportunities and successfully manage the deal process from prospect through to completion.
In this role you will work in conjunction with the trading/origination desks to identify potential investments for the commodity merchant, therefore carrying out an initial business, sector and financial reviews of the targets and working on the negotiation and execution of the deal. As part of the transaction lifecycle you will be required to present to all levels, both internal and external, so your communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written must be exceptional.
You must have a track record of working as part of a team that has successfully identified and acquired assets within a commodity trading house or private equity environment, or has advised such clients from your role in Investment Banking M&A or Consulting M&A advisory.
Your market knowledge and experience should be predominately oil focussed, although experience of other commodities can also be considered. Understanding of how assets fit into a downstream trading business and how value can be extracted from them is essential.
This opportunity will involve financial modelling, valuation, and financial analysis of the investments, so strong modelling and valuation skills are a pre-requisite. Experience of structured and project finance is preferable.
The business has a very flat structure so you must be hands-on and happy to roll your sleeves up and lead from the front when it comes to doing deals.
We are looking for at least 1 individual in London, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested.
