Citrus Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with a leading automotive company, recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to be based in Coleshill.   Working with the designers and engineers you will play a pivotal role ensuring the highest standards of quality are meet and processes adhered too. Responsibilities & day to day duties As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Maintain and operate within IATF16949 quality system requirements and customer-specific requirements.
• Good working knowledge of PPAP and APQP processes. 
• Apply Quality core tools like SPC, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving to enhance customer satisfaction and prevent quality concerns.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• SPC/R&R and MSA: Maintain and monitor statistical process control, measurement systems analysis, and capability.
• Support Assembly/Project teams in creating and maintaining core tools documentation required for customer submissions.
• Engage with customers and suppliers on quality issues from planning processes to problem-solving/resolutions.
• Complete audits in line with company and industry standards like IATF16949 and ISO14001.

Skills & experience required

• HND in Mechanical/Production Eng./Manufacturing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Engineer role.
• Proficiency in automotive quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D problem-solving.
• Good knowledge of automotive industry and PPAP and APQP processes.
