We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA3) to join our team, working with students from Year 3 to Year 6. This role is crucial in supporting the primary education framework, particularly during PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time. The position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of young learners.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the classroom under the direction of the lead teacher, helping to implement lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide support during PPA time, ensuring that the classroom environment remains conducive to learning and that students are engaged.
  • Work with small groups of students or one-on-one, depending on the needs identified by the teacher, to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist in preparing materials and equipment for lessons, ensuring that resources are available and organised.
  • Monitor and support the behaviour of students, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Participate in school meetings and training sessions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with exposure to years 3-6.
  • Strong understanding of classroom duties and student interaction.
  • Ability to manage groups of children and foster an environment conducive to learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and committed approach to student education and welfare.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and teaching assignments.
