Manor Grange Care Home is a purpose built 83 bed care home located in the Pinkhill area of Edinburgh, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative care. The home offers a well established and supportive environment where team members can deliver high quality, person centred care as part of a professional and dedicated team.
Care Assistant - Weekend Dayshift
- £13.55 per hour
- 22 hours per week
- Saturday and Sunday, dayshift
- Pension, Paid PVG, SSSC registration paid, Uniform provided, Onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their day to day routines, helping with personal care, mobility and mealtimes while always promoting dignity and independence.
You will take the time to get to know each resident, understanding their preferences and providing support in a way that feels personal and respectful. Whether it is offering reassurance, having a conversation or supporting with daily tasks, your presence will make a real difference.
Working alongside your team, you will help create a calm, welcoming environment, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable and well supported throughout your shift. You will also stay aware of any changes in wellbeing and communicate these clearly to ensure the right support is in place.
What We Are Looking For
- SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred but not essential
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
- Caring, compassionate and respectful approach
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable and professional attitude
