🌟 The Role

This is a varied and rewarding position combining school finance responsibilities with a front-facing, receptionist-style role. You will be a point of contact for parents, pupils, and staff-so a friendly, solutions-focused approach is essential.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day financial processes within the school
Filing and processing invoices
Supporting with budgeting and financial planning
Handling payroll queries
Managing petty cash
Ensuring VAT compliance
Producing financial reports
Supporting the front office and handling queries from parents and pupils
Maintaining a welcoming and professional front-of-house presence

🔍 What We're Looking For

Proven experience working in a school finance department (essential)
Strong working knowledge of financial procedures in an education setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Confident communicator with a friendly telephone manner
Ability to remain calm, positive, and solution-focused when dealing with queries
Experience using Novus School Accounting Software (desirable but not essential)

Monday to Friday
08:30am - 4:30pm
Full-time, term-time role until July 2026
