We are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Representative for a fantastic Global Company.

The successful candidate will report to the Internal Sales Manager

Working Hours: 08.00 - 17.00 (1 hour lunch) 40hrs per week

SUMMARY

The Internal Sales Department is a vital link between customers, distributors and the company. Internal Sales are responsible for fostering the relationship with the customer base. The ultimate objective for the internal sales team is to build credible and lasting relationships with all customers and to create and to identify, develop and convert new opportunities.

Customers are needed in all businesses to build a profitable enterprise. A key element of this role will entail building trust and confidence to deliver and maintain an excellent level of customer service. You must strive to understand the needs of our customer base and have the ability to meet your customer's requirements and needs. Working towards a number of clear objectives within a target orientated environment, your sole focus will be on developing your account base and generation of new business, whilst maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring customer retention.

The Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for creating credibility, building strong and lasting relationships with their customers and creating and developing new opportunities in order to extend the customer account base.

You will be required to develop a sound knowledge of your customer base and the products / services they receive. You must be able to manage all aspects of the account base effectively ranging from all sales activity, after sales service and complaint handling by the customer and be able to prioritize various customer requests / tasks simultaneously.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To respond quickly and effectively to all calls to the sales department. Providing support and reassurance to your customers promptly and efficiently.

• To meet or exceed the required level of Pro-active Outbound Call Activity. As determined by your line manager.

• Update customer database (CRM) and document customer-related activity.

• Establish new customers, as well as work with existing client base to develop new business.

• Perform telemarketing duties and research on potential clients proactively seek out new business opportunities.

• To manage all sales activity relating to your account base, including but not limited to:

• Providing customers with quotations and ensuring these are followed up within a reasonable time-frame;

• Negotiating variations in price & terms of an agreement;

• To provide the required level of support to the Business Development Managers in relation to their customer accounts.

• To provide strategies and estimates relating to your customer's budgets and future requirements.

• Represent the company at appropriate trade shows, customer visits and exhibitions or conferences as and when required.

• To actively identify and develop new opportunities working towards meeting/exceeding your targets, objectives & KPI's as determined by your manager

• To actively contribute to internal projects and assist with marketing campaigns as and when required.

• To regularly participate and deliver presentations in monthly sales meetings as required.

• To provide required documentation relating to customer requests / order to meet delivery requirements.

• Liaise with internal manufacturing and operations personnel to ensure timely delivery of projects.

• Assist Finance and Operations Departments in resolving customer issues proactively and quickly as needed.

• Perform internet, catalogue, or tradeshow research on potential clients, markets, and competitive products within assigned territory.

• Other duties as assigned by the Internal Sales Manager.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

• Strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate must be able to communicate technical sales information clearly and concisely to sales staff and clients.

• Must be computer literate and competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a diverse range of customer accounts simultaneously

• A high level of self-motivation and drive is essential in addition to resilience and tenacity.

• Minimum 2-3 years outside sales experience with track record in meeting/exceeding budget. Ability to effectively close deals and manage sales cycles of varied length depending on the project.

• Verbal and written fluency in English and at least one other European language desirable

• Excellent customer service skills and experience of handling / resolving customer issues & complaints
