Quality Inspector

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Up to £33,500 per annum

A long-established, leading engineering company is looking to recruit a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.

What you will be doing:

* Inspections on machined, fabricated, welded, pressed, painted, and laser-cut components.

* First-off, patrol, batch, and visual inspections using precision tools.

* First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)

* Identify and report non-conformities and defects promptly.

* Liaise with engineering and production teams to resolve quality concerns.

* Maintain accurate inspection records, including ERP updates.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives within an ISO-controlled environment.

* Assist in developing quality control procedures and documentation.

What you will bring to the team:

* Experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing/engineering setting.

* Familiar with a broad range of measurement tools and inspection methods.

* Understanding of ISO standards and quality systems (desirable).

* Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CAD or CMM use is advantageous.

* Able to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders professionally.
