Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (Two Posts Available)

Are you an experienced and adaptable educator ready to inspire the next generation? We are seeking two high-quality Upper Key Stage 2 Teachers to join a dedicated team within a Blackpool-based Academy from May 2026.

These roles are crucial to the continued progress of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils as they transition through the final term of the academic year.

The Opportunities

Post 1: Year 6 Teacher (SATs Specialist Focus) This role begins at a pivotal moment just two weeks before the SATs examinations. Your mission will be to lead high-impact "top-up" sessions, addressing specific knowledge gaps and boosting pupil confidence. Once the exam season concludes, you will return to a creative and engaging KS2 curriculum for the summer and Autumn term concluding in January 2027.

Post 2: Year 5 Teacher You will lead a vibrant Year 5 class, maintaining the momentum of their learning journey. A strong focus on core subject mastery and emotional readiness for the transition into Year 6 is essential.

About You

Expertise: Deep knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum is essential.

SATs Experience: For the Year 6 post, you must be comfortable with the pace of pre-exam revision and have a proven track record of "filling the gaps" effectively.

Attributes: You must be academically rigorous with the warmth and resilience to step into a new classroom mid-year.

QTS qualified: Qualified Teacher status with recent Teaching experience in KS2.
