Establish and maintain policies and procedures that govern the company quality system.
Establish company quality compliance objectives and ensure targets are communicated and achieved.
Bring together staff of different disciplines and driving the company to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
Drive quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
Ensure the timely execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications. Conduct root cause analysis and facilitate corrective and preventive compliance actions to quality related issues.
Assess supplier and company product specifications, and customer requirements.
Work with purchasing, sales, and operations managers to address quality issues with customers and suppliers.
Work with purchasing, sales, and operations managers to establish quality requirements deemed for internal quality control.
Ensure compliance with national and international standards and state and local legislation/jurisdiction.
Ensure implementations and sustaining compliance of ISO 9001 Quality Systems.
Provide supervision and oversight of technical staff in carrying out tests and verifications.
Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product design and configuration changes are investigated as necessary.
Ensure the proper maintenance of testing and measuring equipment.
Monitor product performance through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports and provides data-driven quality trends
Maintain department awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
Write/author technical and management system reports, including work instructions;
Identify/specify relevant quality-related and workmanship standards training needs.
Provide quality control, quality assurance and technical guidance to staff as required.
Must comply with and ensure department compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing/operations, or an equivalent level of degree; metallurgical engineering is a plus.
5 or more years related experience in quality control/assurance practices for a plant, division or company with production organizations.
3 or more years' experience serving in a leadership (formal or informal) role in an ISO9001 registered organization. Experience with implementations and sustaining compliance of ISO 9001 Quality Systems.
Strong understanding of material sampling, laboratory testing, and metallurgical practices.
Strong command of various statistical tools for quality analysis.
Willing to travel (up to 10%) for dialogue with customers and suppliers.
Quality control/assurance experience in Aluminum Melting and Casting.
Six Sigma Certification.
