SEND Teaching Assistants Needed - Stoke & Surrounding Areas

Teaching Personnel are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support children with complex needs across a range of primary and specialist schools in Stoke-on-Trent and nearby areas.

This role is ideal for those with backgrounds in care, support work, or health & social care, looking to transfer their skills into a school setting.

The role will involve:

Providing one-to-one or small group support for children with complex needs

Supporting with personal care and medical needs where required

Assisting pupils with physical needs, including moving and handling

Encouraging communication, independence, and social interaction

Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide consistent care and learning support

We're looking for individuals who:

Have experience in care, support work, or education (transferrable skills highly valued)

Are compassionate, patient, and resilient

Are confident supporting children with additional or complex needs

Are open to providing personal care support when required

Can commit to flexible, day-to-day, or long-term roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
