Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Registered Manager to lead and grow our domiciliary care service in Ipswich. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of home care services, ensuring that the organisation meets all CQC regulatory requirements while driving service quality and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations as the service’s Registered Manager.
  • Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and quality assurance systems.
  • Lead on audits, inspections, safeguarding processes, and improvement plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents, complaints, and performance data.

Service Delivery & Quality

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, person-centred care.
  • Monitor care plans, risk assessments, and service user outcomes.
  • Promote continuous improvement, learning, and excellence in service delivery.
  • Ensure care staff uphold the highest standards of dignity, respect, and professionalism.

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop care coordinators, senior carers, and frontline staff.
  • Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews.
  • Create a positive, supportive culture that promotes retention and staff wellbeing.
  • Lead by example with strong values and a visible management presence.

Business Development & Growth

  • Drive growth of the domiciliary care service through safe expansion and client acquisition.
  • Work with the leadership team to meet commercial targets.
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, commissioning teams, and community organisations.
  • Contribute to marketing, tender responses, and business strategy.

Finance & Resource Management

  • Oversee budgets, staffing levels, rostering efficiency, and cost control.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, payroll processes, and financial compliance.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement improvement strategies where required.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a domiciliary care service.
  • Strong understanding of CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) and regulatory standards.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident decision-making with a proactive approach to service delivery.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience growing or scaling a home-care service.
  • Strong local knowledge of the Ipswich area.
  • Experience working with local commissioning bodies and procurement frameworks.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
