Teaching Personnel are looking for a suitable Youth Worker at one of our partner schools that follows a 'child first' approach to steer young offenders from the ages of 10-17 in the right direction. The students at this centre are often from deprived backgrounds primarily with behavioural difficulties, in addition to problems with their social, emotional and mental health.
The appropriate candidate will be able to show confidence when dealing with the situations that can arise working with children with behavioural difficulties. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be intervening when these difficulties arise and guiding the pupil accordingly to help them understand the causes and consequences of their actions. A background in criminology would be beneficial, however this is not essential.
Day-to-day duties involve 1:1 interaction with pupils in an educational setting, supporting them in English, maths and other subjects. j
Pay for this position is typically from from £65 per day.
