Role Overview

As Planning Manager, you will take the lead on delivering effective and timely planning strategies, applications, and appeals. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants, you'll manage the planning process from site appraisal through to consent - helping secure a strong pipeline of development land for the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out detailed site assessments, including policy and planning history analysis

  • Prepare and project-manage Outline, Full, and Reserved Matters applications

  • Coordinate internal design input and external consultants to support submissions

  • Draft key planning documents, including Design & Access Statements

  • Represent the business at public consultation events and meetings

  • Support land promotion for medium and long-term sites through local plan processes

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's overall capability

  • Provide strategic planning input to senior leadership as required

What We're Looking For
  • RTPI-accredited Planning Degree (Bachelor's or Master's level)

  • Proven experience in a planning role (private or public sector)

  • Knowledge of residential planning policy and strategic land promotion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail

  • Full UK driving licence
