Learning Support Assistant - SEN (Autism & Complex Needs)

📍 Lymington | Ages 7-19 | Mixed Gender | Full-Time

Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced special educational needs (SEN) school in Lymington. We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated team.

The students supported by this school typically have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as their primary need. Many also present with co-occurring challenges such as: ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, Social Emotional, and mental Health (SEMH ) needs etc.

What you will be supporting students with:

Accessing education in a meaningful and structured way
Developing independence and organisational skills
Enhancing social interaction and communication
Managing emotional regulation and behaviourContract/Position Details

Location - Lymington

Full time/part time - Full time
Hours - 09:00am - 3pm (Mon-Fri)EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

6 months experience in the UK
Previous experience in a similar setting
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferableTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two yearsOTHER
