Neighbourhood Support Officer

JOB TYPE: Permanent, Temporary, FullTime

Our client based in South Shields is looking to recruit 2 Neighbourhood Support Officers to join their Housing team.

This is a fulltime, temporary role until September 2020.

The purpose of the role is to provide effective and efficient administrative and operational support within a designated area of Housing & Area Management Services.

Key Tasks of the Post:

- Deal with tenancy sign ups, terminations and general advice to tenants and residents.
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Area Manager as required.
- Work as part of the team and assist in covering the front line housing and area management office when necessary, giving housing and general advice where appropriate.
- Undertake general administrative duties within the office including word processing, filing, post, application processing, photocopying etc.
- Assist with customer telephone enquiries and provide a message taking service.
- Provide IT support to officers in relation to document templates.
- Maintain computerised record systems, including statistical information and produce reports where required.
- Process, within target times, written, electronic and verbal requests for services.
- Accurately maintain manual and electronic filing systems collating information when required.

A DBS Certificate would be required for this role.
