They are seeking an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for an immediate start. This is a full-time office-based position located in South Dublin. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of their dynamic team, contributing to the cost management, procurement, and contractual aspects of construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work closely with senior QS professionals to develop your skills in this field.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • A reliable commute or relocation before the start date is required
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in cost estimation, budget control, and procurement within the construction industry is preferred
  • Irish experience is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of building regulations and construction processes

What will your role look like?

  • Cost Management: Preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ranging from 1 - 15 million euros
  • Procurement Support: Assistin sourcing and evaluating subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services
  • Contractual Management: Reviewing and administering contracts, including subcontract agreements and change orders, to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations
  • Budget Control: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing measures to control costs
  • Project Progress Monitoring: Provide support in monitoring project progress, conducting site visits, and documenting work completed to assess project milestones and deadlines
  • Financial Analysis: Analyse financial reports and data to track project expenditures, forecast future costs, and prepare comprehensive reports for project stakeholders
