• Conducting complex site inspections and reviewing building regulation applications
• Supervising and mentoring junior inspectors and support staff
• Responding to dangerous structures and overseeing demolition compliance
• Preparing legal documentation and attending court as a witness when required
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Supporting the Building Control Team Leader in achieving operational and financial targets

• Working towards / holding class 2/3 registration (BSR)
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and the Building Act 1984
• Experience in complex inspections, enforcement, and legal processes
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills
• A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving
