Our specialist division, renowned for reinforced concrete basements, sub and superstructure frame construction, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You'll be working on a cutting-edge research facility &laboratory, in Oxford, featuring two plots connected by a link bridge.

What You'll Do:

As the sole Quantity Surveyor for a project or significant section, you'll manage the full commercial lifecycle:

  • Lead measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sections.
  • Prepare and manage interim payment applications and certifications.
  • Draft, manage, and settle subcontracts.
  • Oversee and report on monthly project costs.
  • Prepare and settle final accounts and manage claims.
  • Mentor and manage junior QS team members.
  • Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to achieve project goals while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Advise project management on contractual implications and commercial risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly contract review reports and financial information.
  • Support project budgeting and manage change control processes.
  • Ensure contracts are properly executed.
  • Keep management informed of any potential issues or risks.
What You'll Bring:
  • Direct delivery experience in sub and superstructure construction.
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts.
  • A relevant degree (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management) is desirable.
  • A strong desire to learn our risk and opportunity processes and a drive to advance your career.
