Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Enfield to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with higher needs, including those requiring personal care, on a full-time basis starting ASAP.

This role is ideal for a compassionate and resilient individual with experience supporting children with complex needs in a primary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex SEND needs

• Support children with ASD, SEMH, physical disabilities, and communication needs

• Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene support where required

• Implement individual education, health, and care plans (EHCPs)

• Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques

• Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with higher SEND needs

• Comfortable and experienced with personal care responsibilities

• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Available full time and able to start ASAP
