Management Accountant | Rochester | Paying £50k - £55k DOE

We are partnering with a well-established construction client who are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their Kent team. This role suits an accounting professional with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience managing both financial reporting and payroll-related processes. You’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and quarter-end activities, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, AP, and AR.
• Manage journal postings, general ledger maintenance, and assist with month-end close.
• Maintain prepayment and accrual schedules, fixed asset records, lease assets, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support VAT returns, payroll-related payments (PAYE/NIC/CIS), and other statutory submissions.
• Work closely with leadership to confirm overheads, review financial data, and support annual rate reviews.
• Assist in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide payroll support during absence or annual leave cover.
• Support subcontractor payment processing and CIS submissions.
