We are inviting applications for an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our dedicated team in Kirklees. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about enhancing educational experiences for students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) to cater to each student's needs.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess and record students' progress, and prepare reports to keep parents and guardians informed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, professionals, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.
  • Participate in school events, training, and staff meetings as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a focus on special educational needs.
  • Proven experience as an SEND Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while maintaining a positive approach.
  • Creative thinking and flexibility to adapt to the unique challenges of SEND education.
