My client is a well-established Top 30 professional services firm with a business services division providing outsourced accounting, VAT, and regulatory reporting for clients in the financial services sector. As part of their growth, they are now seeking a technically strong accountant to focus on financial reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS.

This role involves managing a varied portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements and consolidations, supporting external audits, and advising on complex reporting queries. You'll work closely with both clients and colleagues, while helping develop the team’s technical expertise in corporate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and consolidation workings under UK GAAP and IFRS

• Manage client portfolios and deliver high-quality accounting services

• Liaise with external auditors and support the year-end process

• Research and respond to technical accounting queries

• Supervise junior staff and contribute to training and development

• Provide occasional management accounting and VAT reporting support

What You'll Need:

• ACA or ACCA qualified

• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and familiarity with IFRS (desirable)

• Experience preparing statutory and management accounts

• Excellent communication and analytical skills

• Client-facing experience, ideally in financial services

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, Xero; CaseWare desirable)
