Senior CAD Engineer

With multiple sites in Shalford, Dunfold, Warwick and a new purpose-built HQ on its way in Windlesham, the Gordon Murray Group continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for Senior CAD Engineers to join our Body Exterior Team based in either Shalford or Warwick.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components
Responsible for upholding the highest standards of geometry creation and GD&T
Report to Senior project engineers responsible for the relevant commodities
Prepares full project documents
Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products
Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle body systems:
Closures
Panels
Active Aero
Body NVH
Body Heatshielding
Lighting
Wiper Systems
Sealing
Ornamentation and Trim
NVH
Glazing
Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance
Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement
Guide other CAD engineers in design standards and engineering practices

Experience and Qualifications:

5+ years relevant experience required in exterior trim, closures of body mechanism
Extensive CAD experience required
Automotive experience essential
