Able to setup in machine all dies and forming tools and make adjustments to machine cams with minimal instructions from the immediate supervisor. Must be more efficient with all machine setups than the lower level employees. Must show expertise in handling all departmental machinery setups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Provides basic setup training to all lower level employees as required.
Schedule and control production requirements within the department.
Operates production machines after setups are completed.
Makes machine adjustments to support product quality.
Utilizes hand tools to check for dimensional conformances and follows work instructions shown on the shop order, print, control plan, SPC charts, conformance charts and any other appropriate documents.
Communicates effectively with co-workers and department supervisor.
Transports, lifts, positions tooling into the press. Able to load coils of material onto reels, carriers and other devices.
Communicates problems to the appropriate setup or supervisory personnel in an effective, efficient and prudent manner.
Abides by all company policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Hand Book, policy manuals, work
instructions, bulletins and dated memos.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training as a setup “B” or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Able to comprehend and act on information presented in-group settings such as training sessions or meetings involving all personnel in their department, job class and/or plant meetings.
