Payroll Manager - Dudley

Our client is a successful accountancy practice with a diverse client portfolio. Due to their current growth plans, they are looking for a Payroll Manager.

About the role

This role would suit a friendly, motivated and professional individual, looking for a role to better use their payroll expertise. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for year-end and regular payroll duties, as well as liaising with clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Running high volume weekly and monthly payrolls on payroll software;
• Dealing with complex pay queries from clients and staff;
• Processing starters and leavers, employee changes, statutory payments and deductions including SMP, SSP and SPP;
• Running year-end routines for payrolls;
• Processing accurate data entry;
• Dealing with administration of auto enrolment pensions responsibilities.

The ideal person

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience processing payrolls, Ideally they should have experience of auto enrolment and pensions, as well as GDPR regulations. They would also benefit from having a good understanding of PAYE, NI, RTI, SMP, SSP and other HMRC payroll statutory regulations.

The position would suit an excellent communicator, keen to progress in their role. They should be enthusiastic with strong numeracy and literacy skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
