A welcoming and close-knit independent primary school in Ealing is seeking an experienced Reception Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from the start of the Summer Term 2026 on a long-term, full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a smaller, private school setting where class sizes are low, staff are highly supportive, and there is a strong focus on nurturing each child's individual development.

The school boasts an Art Room, STEM lab, Libray and Music Room.

The Role

As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across all areas of the EYFS framework.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children's learning through play and structured activities
Assisting with early phonics, communication, and early maths development
Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
Supporting pupils' social and emotional development
Helping to maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment
Assisting with observations and contributing to progress tracking
Supporting classroom routines, transitions, and outdoor learningThe role requires someone who is confident, proactive, and able to contribute positively to a well-run Early Years setting.

What the School Is Looking For

Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant within EYFS or Reception
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Confidence supporting phonics and early learning
A nurturing, patient, and professional approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to a long-term roleA relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but experience within a Reception setting is essential.
