Job Duties:

The SEN Tutor will provide one-to-one support and tailored learning strategies to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). They will create individualised lesson plans, monitor progress, and adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student. The tutor will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education.

Required Qualifications:

- A recognised teaching qualification - Experience working with students with SEN - Knowledge of SEN support strategies - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEN education

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of SEN Code of Practise - Ability to assess and address individual learning needs - Proficiency in creating engaging and effective learning materials - Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in specific areas of SEN - Experience working with a diverse range of SEN conditions

Working Conditions:

The SEN Tutor will work part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing support to students in educational settings. They may work in schools, learning centres, or provide home tuition depending on the needs of the students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
