Our Client is looking to recruit a skilled, time-served machinist with strong experience in machining components to close tolerances.

Skills required-

· Setting and operating 3 and 5 axis CNC milling machines.

· Understanding engineering drawings / symbols and CAD data.

· Previous experience with HURCO control systems preferable.

· Proficient with CAD/CAM (ideally HYPERMILL) programming software.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, a good multi- tasker. A flexible work attitude and be safety conscious.

Responsibilities -

· Daily setting / Operating CNC machines.

· Working independently from technical drawings and documentation and being responsible for managing your own workload.

· Communicate with managers regarding any manufacture issue, changes or requirements.

· Inspect and measure finished products.

· Check and maintain machinery daily.

· Coaching of apprentices and less experienced staff in appropriate machining techniques.

· Ensure procedures and quality standards are adhered to and suggest where improvements can be made.

· Comply and ensure best practice in and around the factory.

· Work to the company`s priorities, guidance and rules.

· Be a positive influence and a helpful colleague to apprentices and new employees.

· Undertake any training courses relevant to manufacturing practices.

Experience required-

· Skilled, time-served machinist. Offline programming-minimum 3 years.

· Proven background in machining with CNC milling machines.

· Must be able work from and read engineering drawings.

· Extensive knowledge and understanding in key workshop practices. Knowledge of working within ISO 9001 environment.
