Electrical Design Manager
Rate: £450 - £500 per day CIS/UTR
Contract: 12 months initial
Location: 3 days onsite at TfL Stratford (5 Endeavour Square, E20 1JN) + 2 days WFH

We're seeking an Electrical Design Manager to co-lead a talented team delivering high-profile electrical design solutions for the installation of 4G & 5G infrastructure across the London Underground.

This is a leadership role, overseeing 12 Electrical Engineers and 3 CAD Technicians, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality electrical design packages on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Co-managing a multidisciplinary electrical design team.

*

Leading the production and review of designs for 4G/5G LU infrastructure projects.

*

Liaising with clients, TfL, and third parties to resolve design blockers and technical queries.

*

Managing resources and assisting with recruitment where required.

*

Providing technical guidance, conducting design reviews, and supporting the CAD team.

*

Organising and coordinating site surveys via the installation team.

*

Holding stakeholders accountable for timely provision of information and responses.

About You:

*

Experienced in managing electrical design teams, ideally within rail, telecoms, or infrastructure.

*

Strong technical grounding in electrical design processes, deliverables, and software.

*

Previous LU/TfL project experience advantageous but not essential.

*

Background from the contractor side rather than purely consultancy is preferred.

*

Could suit a Senior, Principal, or Associate Electrical Engineer ready for a management role, or an established Design Manager with solid technical credentials.
