Hays Leicester islooking for a PE Instructor with experience delivering sports lessons and/or sports coaching sessions for young people with Special Educational Needs. We work with schools across Leicester and Leicestershire who support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. If you have experience working with vulnerable children and a background in Sports Coaching - we want to hear from you!Your new jobAs a PE instructor, you'll deliver sports sessions to pupils with additional needs including challenging behaviour and learning disabilities. You'll use sports as a tool to engage with vulnerable young people, teach soft skills like communication and develop pupils' self-esteem. You'll view sports as a tool which works alongside a wider curriculum to provide a holistic education for disadvantaged pupils.What you'll need to succeedYou'll be an experienced Sports Coach who has worked with vulnerable young people. You need to have a good knowledge to Special Educational Needs and Neurodivergence in children and young people.
