As a Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you'll be the trusted link between local authorities and our life-changing services. You'll work consultatively to understand challenges, provide tailored solutions, and strengthen relationships that safeguard young people and support social care teams under pressure.

The BDPM will work with both the branch network and Head of EPS (Emergency Placement Support), to identify and develop business opportunities and close sales opportunities as they arise. They will set, in conjunction with Senior Reed Stakeholders, the strategy for their market, identifying existing and new business opportunities, as well as determining those tender requests the business does not wish to pursue.

We offer dynamic working, and this position offers a combination of working at a nearby Reed office, working from home and nationwide travel is expected.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work across Reed to gain in depth market knowledge and deliver a compelling offering within a defined vertical market sector.
  • Work collaboratively with the Team to research markets and clients.
  • Maximise the conversion of opportunities by proactively targeting destination clients, competitor clients in Local authority Emergency placements.
  • Recognise and Deliver business opportunities and identify cross sell opportunities across the many specialisms within Reed Health & Care.
  • Secure new Local authority contracts with commissioners and HOS
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop innovative, cutting edge solutions that deliver results to clients and maximise the full set of products and services within the Group portfolio.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting and sales pipeline information working with the business in readiness for potential new business wins.

What we're looking for

  • A proven and demonstrable track record in securing new business wins and growth of contracts and Revenue via client engagement
  • Evidence of networking and relationship building with Senior and Board Level decision makers.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in social care, public sector partnerships, or solution-based sales.
  • A strategic thinker able to attain a trusted advisor status with senior client contacts at board level.
  • An excellent and persuasive communicator at all levels.
  • Able to see beyond the 'top line' of a contract and understand the complex drivers that ensure profitability.
  • Capability to develop a strong 'network' within the Health & Care industry.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel
