MadiganGill are looking for a Contracts Manager or Design Manager with a Residential or Accommodation background in Bristol.

Salary is £70,000 - £75,000

Role responsibilities:-
Reviewing received tenders to identify scope gaps, design risks, and coordination issues.
Leading design and coordination meetings between the contractor's appointed consultants and the design team to manage and monitor the PCSA period and throughout construction, addressing any on-site discoveries.
Acting as the main point of contact for the client regarding design-related issues, while managing their expectations.
Overseeing design changes from the client team.
Reviewing working drawing packages produced by the design team to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Addressing technical issues that arise during design development and on-site construction.
Leading value engineering efforts to optimise cost efficiency without compromising design quality.
Advocating for strategies to simplify construction while preserving design intent.
Managing subcontractor design packages, securing consultant approvals, and coordinating with other trades to ensure smooth interfaces.
Overseeing the review and approval of samples and mock ups.
Managing interactions with statutory bodies and obtaining necessary approvals, such as planning permissions, listed building consent, and building control.
Coordinating environmental accreditations, gathering information from the design team and subcontractors, and submitting it to environmental assessors.
You must have the following,
- Previous experience in a Design Manager or Contracts Manager role.
- A degree with an architectural background
- Knowledge of building regulations and statutory requirements.
Days: Monday - Friday (Potential weekend shifts available)
Hours: 07:30 - 17:00
