Our client, specialist manufacturer with a multi site operation across Oxfordshire, is seeking a hard working and process driven Health and Safety Coordinator to join a growing team.

Reporting to the H&S Manager, the role forms part of a team whose purpose is to maintain compliance with H&S legislation across the business and implement measures to ensure a safe working environment.

Health and Safety Coordinator key responsibilities:

  • Uphold and champion excellent Health and Safety standards within a dynamic, evolving business landscape
  • Collaborate with production and engineering departments to analyse intricate workflows and establish appropriate safety protocols
  • Develop and revise organizational risk evaluations, operational procedures, documentation, safety signage, and policy frameworks
  • Coordinate employee training programs through internal resources or external training specialists
  • Schedule and manage compliance audits conducted by both internal teams and external assessors
  • Oversee inventory management of personal protective equipment
  • Maintain current records and documentation for safety equipment servicing and maintenance
  • Conduct incident and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective measures
  • Identify and pursue ongoing enhancement opportunities within safety management systems and processes

Health and Safety Coordinator Requirements:

  • Candidates should hold NEBOSH General Certificate qualification
  • A good knowledge of applicable UK safety legislation and general workplace safety requirements is essential.
  • Applicants should ideally have previous experience in a H&S role within a manufacturing and/or scientific environment
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Oxfordshire
