About the Role

As a 3rd in Charge, you'll combine hands-on care and education with day-to-day team leadership. Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy, you'll help maintain high standards across the setting, lead your room with confidence, and ensure the children in your care are safe, engaged, and thriving.

Key Responsibilities

Lead your designated room, ensuring all EYFS requirements are met

Act as third in charge, stepping up in the absence of senior management

*

Supervise, mentor and support room staff and apprentices

*

Plan, observe and assess learning in line with EYFS and individual needs

*

Foster strong parent partnerships and provide regular updates on children's progress

*

Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and inclusive practices at all times

*

Support in maintaining a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment

What We're Looking For

*

Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) - essential

*

1-2 years' experience in a Room Leader or senior practitioner role

*

Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and SEND best practices

*

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

*

A genuine passion for working with young children and families
