Oaklea Dementia Care Unit is a specialist unit within Ashlea Court Care Home in Ashgill, South Lanarkshire. The unit provides high quality, person centred care for individuals living with dementia and complex needs, within a calm, structured and homely environment designed to support safety, wellbeing and dignity.

Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) - Dayshift

• £20.50-£21.50 per hour (depending on experience)
• £1,000 welcome bonus (T&Cs apply)
• Annual NMC fees paid
• Up to 44 hours per week
• Primarily day shift, with flexibility to support night shifts if required
• Paid PVG, uniform provided, pension scheme
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata for part time)
• Structured dementia care training and development
• Opportunities for progression into senior clinical roles

Role Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will take clinical responsibility for delivering safe, effective and person centred care within a specialist dementia setting, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the day.

You will assess residents, oversee care planning and deliver clinical interventions including medication management and health monitoring, using your judgement to respond appropriately to changes in condition. Your role will involve balancing both clinical and emotional support, particularly for individuals living with complex dementia needs.

You will lead the care team on shift, ensuring care is delivered consistently, tasks are coordinated effectively and communication remains clear and professional. You will also ensure accurate documentation and support a structured, safe and therapeutic environment.

Your contribution will be key in maintaining a calm, reassuring atmosphere where residents feel secure, respected and supported to live well each day.

What We Are Looking For

•  Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
•  Experience in dementia or complex care is desirable
•  Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision making
•  Ability to lead and support a team effectively
•  Compassionate, professional and person centred approach
