The Water Treatment Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective treatment and management of water resources. This position involves monitoring and maintaining water quality, operating treatment equipment, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

* Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

* Conduct regular testing of water samples to monitor quality and identify any contaminants.

* Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.

* Maintain accurate records of water quality tests and treatment processes for regulatory compliance.

* Collaborate with team members to implement improvements in water treatment processes.

* Ensure safety protocols are followed while handling chemicals and operating equipment.

* Assist in the training of new staff on operational procedures and safety measures.

What you'll do

Based at our client's plant in Falkirk

* the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards

* running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants

* ensuring compliance with company policy, processes, and procedures

* ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times

Ideal experience would be:

* Working with electrics for pump changes and resets.

* Experience of working with pumps and pipe work

* Someone with landfill or waterboard experience.
