A respected and academically strong independent school near Wells is seeking a Design Technology Teacher to join their growing and well-resourced DT department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent post suitable for an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic ECT.

The department is known for its emphasis on sustainable design, innovation, and hands-on making. The successful candidate will teach across KS3-KS5, with opportunities to support student projects involving CAD, product design, 3D printing, and materials science.

Candidate Essentials

Relevant degree (Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering)

QTS and teaching experience across secondary age groups

*

Confident using CAD/CAM tools such as Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar

*

Practical knowledge of resistant materials, electronics, or textiles beneficial

*

Ability to support the school's ethos of creativity and curiosity
