Paralegal - Private Client

My client, a leading, Top 100 Legal 500 law firm within the midlands are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Paralegal to join their Private Client team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a busy and dynamic department.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take instructions from clients (by prior appointment) in relation to straightforward Wills.

* Prepare, explain, and submit draft documents for approval promptly, ideally on the same day or within 24 hours of the appointment.

* Present the firm's account promptly and secure immediate settlement.

* Refer more complex matters (e.g., trusts, IHT advice) to senior members of the Private Client team.

* Advise on Lasting Powers of Attorney, including preparation and registration following signature.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Pleasant and courteous manner with excellent interpersonal skills.

* Efficient and co-operative attitude, with a diligent and conscientious approach to work.

* Ability to work unsupervised and manage a busy caseload.

* Strong organisational skills and good PC literacy.

* Accurate keyboard skills and attention to detail.

* At least 12 months' experience working within a busy Private Client department, including drafting Wills and handling Lasting Powers of Attorney.

* A law degree/LPC is desirable, but not essential.
