Interim Finance Director - M&A Sell Side

West Midlands (2 days on site, 3 remote)

£700 per day outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Finance Director to support a dynamic SME multi-site business as it navigates a sale process. This is a pivotal role for an experienced finance leader with a background in corporate finance, transaction services, M&A, or an established multi-site Finance Director who has successfully led a business through a sale.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the financial due diligence and support the overall sale process.
Work closely with the leadership team to drive process improvements and enhance the business's structure to improve valuation multiples.
Liaise directly with banks, advisors, and potential acquirers during the beauty parade stage and beyond.
Ensure the business is effectively organised and presented to maximise buyer interest and competitive offers.
Provide clear financial insights and leadership to facilitate informed strategic decisions.Key Requirements:

A Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
Significant experience in M&A, ideally with end-to-end involvement in a business sale.
A strong communicator able to engage confidently with stakeholders including financial institutions and prospective buyers.
Proven track record in process improvement and preparing businesses for sale.
Availability to start at short notice.
